Admission Notice for Ph.D. - Session 2008-2009
A competitive written examination on all India basis for admission to Ph.D. degree Programme in the following discipline will be held at IVRI, Izatnagar Bareilly (U.P.) on 21st September, 2008 (Sunday). The successful candidates in the written examination will have to appear in an interview to be held on 22nd September,
2008 (Monday) as per schedule given below at I.V.R.I., Izatnagar, Bareilly (UP).
Disciplines for Ph.D. degree programme
Name of Discipline : Veterinary Physiology

Eligibility:
(i) The candidates for admission to PhD programme must have M.V.Sc degree in the concerned discipline with a minimum of 60% marks in aggregate or OGPA 7.00/10.00 or equivalent (55% marks or OGPA 6.45/10.00 or equivalent for S.C./S.T.).
(ii) A good knowledge of English language.
(iii) Minimum age for admission into Ph.D. shall be 23 years. Normally there will be no upper age limit. The age shall be reckoned as on 1st September, 2008.
How To Apply:
1. Information Bulletin 2008-2009 along with application form can be had personally from the University Office of the Institute on production of a bank draft/banker’s cheque of Rs.300/- drawn in favour of “I.C.A.R., Unit IVRI, Izatnagar payable at State Bank of India, CARI Branch (Code No.7027), Bareilly (U.P.)” or through post by sending requisition to the Asstt. Adm. Officer (Academic), I.V.R.I., Izatnagar-243 122 (U.P.) along with a crossed bank draft of Rs.375/- drawn in favour of “I.C.A.R., Unit IVRI, Izatnagar payable at State Bank of India, CARI Branch (Code No.7027), Bareilly (U.P.)”.
2. The Application Form and Information Bulletin are also made available on website www.ivri.nic.in. The candidates should send Bank Draft amounting to Rs.800/- (for General candidate) and Rs.700/- (for SC/ST candidate) alongwith the downloaded Application Form (Rs.300/- as the cost of the Information Bulletin and Application Form plus Entrance Examination fee Rs.500/- and Rs.400/- for general and SC/ST candidates respectively.)

1. Availability of application forms
(a) (By post) - 20.8.2008 to 05.9.2008
(b) (at Cash Counter of University Office) - 20.8.2008 to 10.9.2008 (at University Counter)
2. Last date for receipt of application forms duly filled in either by post or at counter at University Office - 11.9.2008 (upto 05.00 P.M.)
3. Date of Entrance Test (for Ph.D.) - 21st September, 2008 (Sunday) at IVRI, Izatnagar, Bareilly (UP).
4. Announcement of result of Written Test - 21st September, 2008 (Sunday)
4. Date of Interview - 22nd September, 2008 (Monday) at IVRI, Izatnagar.
5. Date of Registration - 01.10.2008 (Wednessday)
6. Date of Registration with late fees - 04.10.2008 (Saturday)
7. Date of Registration/admission for wait listed candidates, if a vacancy arises/remains vacant. - 10.10.2008
Note:
1. The candidates who have appeared in the Master’s degree examination in the year 2007 are also eligible to apply provisionally for admission but they will have to submit documentary proof (i.e. Provisional Degree Certificate) of their successful completion of qualifying degree examination on the date of registration.
2. There is a provision of payment of IVRI Scholarship to the selected candidates for Ph.D. degree programme @ Rs.10, 500/- p.m. for three years subject to fulfillment of conditions of award of fellowship/scholarship. The IVRI Scholarship will be granted to only those selected candidates who come through Entrance Test.
3. Postal delay in any matter concerning admission will not be the responsibility of the Institute.
