Applications in the prescribed form are invited for admission to the following courses for the Academic Session July 2008 – June 2010 (PG Level) and July 2008 –
June 2011 (UG Level).
Under Graduate Level Courses:
1) B.Sc. Hons in Bioinformatics
2) B.Sc. Hons in Environmental Science
3) B.A. Hons in Fashion & Apparel Design
4) B.A. Hons in Interior Design
Post Graduate Level Courses:
1) MBA in Insurance & Risk Management
2) M.A. / M.Sc. in Remote Sensing & GIS
Admission Criteria for Under Graduate Level Courses:
a) For B.Sc. Hons in Bioinformatics: Any 10+2 or equivalent examination passed candidate from any recognized Board or Council offering Science stream with Biology & Mathematics / Statistics as combination subjects obtaining minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
b) For B.Sc. Hons in Environmental Science: Any 10+2 or equivalent examination passed candidate from any recognized Board or Council offering Science stream with Chemistry & Biology as combination subjects obtaining minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
c) For B.A. Hons in Fashion & Apparel Design / Interior Design: Any 10+2 or equivalent examination passed candidate from any recognized Board or Council offering any stream obtaining minimum 45% marks in aggregate.
Admission Criteria for Post Graduate Level Courses:
a) For MBA in Insurance & Risk Management: Any graduate of 10+2+3 pattern (Hons. or Pass) from any recognized University / any Engineering or Pharmacy graduate with minimum 60% marks / any graduate of 10+2+2 pattern who subsequently passed One-year Bridge Course from any recognized University / any graduate from any recognized University atleast three years supervisory / managerial / professional experiences in any company registered with the Registrar of Companies.
b) For M.A. / M.Sc. in Remote Sensing & GIS: Any B.E. / B.Tech. / B.Sc. Hons. in any subject including Agriculture / B.A. Hons. in Geography / Graduate (10+2+3) pattern with Geography combination with atleast 45% marks in Geography at degree level / one year PG Diploma in Remote Sensing & GIS from any recognized University or any Institute recognized by the Govt. can get lateral entry to 2nd Semester. However he / she have to appear all 4 semester examinations.
Duration & Pattern of the Courses:
i) For Under Graduate Level: Three years (6 semesters)
ii) For Post Graduate Level: Two years (4 semesters)
Availability of Prospectus & Form:
Prospectus containing admission form of the relevant subject will be available from the study centres mentioned below and also Directorate’s Counter at DDE Complex, Golapbag, Burdwan on payment of Rs. 300/- in cash on production of original marksheet on all working days from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Admission form will also be available by post on payment of Rs. 400/- by Demand Draft drawn on SBI payable at Burdwan favouring “DDE, BU”.
Course Fee & Mode of Deposition:
For Under Graduate Level Courses Rs. 8,000/- Per Semester.
For MBA in Insurance & Risk Management Rs. 9,000/- Per Semester
For M.A. / M.Sc. in Remote Sensing & GIS Rs. 17,000/- Per Semester
The fee can be deposited in the form of Demand Draft drawn on State Bank of India payable at Burdwan favouring ‘DDE, BU’.
Mode of Submission of Form:
The candidate must submit his / her admission form in the Study Centre where he / she will continue his / her studies.
