CUSAT Admission Notification for MBA Travel & Tourism
(Self Financing) Programme 2009
Applications are invited from eligible candidates for admission to MBA (Travel and Tourism) Programme. Admission is based on a Management Aptitude Test. Details regarding eligibility etc. are available in the website www.cusat.ac.in. Online registration will commence from 24-07-2009 at 4.00 p.m.
Eligibility : A Degree in any subject recognized by the University with a minimum of 50% marks in aggregate.
Registration Fee : Rs.750/- + Bank charges for General Category candidates and Rs.375/- + Bank charges for SC/ST students.
Mode of payment : Demand Draft taken from State Bank of India or State Bank allied Banks drawn in favour of Registrar, CUSAT payable at Ernakulam only will be accepted.
Test Centres : Thiruvananthapuram, Ernakulam, Kozhikode (If the number of candidates in a particular test centre (other than Ernakulam) is less than 100, such centre/centres will be cancelled and the candidates who have chosen the cancelled test centres will have to attend the test at the Ernakulam Centre.)
The University reserves the right to cancel or all the notified test centres for administrative reasons including dates/rules and regulations relating to programme of study, eligibility, reservation, admission criteria, fee structure and other relevant matters. All disputes related to CAT shall be subject to the jurisdiction of Courts at Kochi only. Appearance in the CAT or figuring in the Rank list does not ipso facto confer any right for admission to a particular course unless found suitable as per the eligibility criteria as amended from time to time by the University.
The candidates who have already appeared for the Management Aptitude Test of CAT 2009 also have to register for considering them for the Admission to MBA Travel and Tourism. No registration fee is required for these candidates.

Important Points
Admission will be from the students of Keralite and Non Keralite category. 10% of seats will set apart for students on All India Basis and the remaining for Keralites.
Kerala candidates are those candidates -
(a) He/She or his/her father/mother was born in Kerala OR
(b) He/She has been a resident of Kerala for a period of 5 years within a period of 12 years OR
(c) He/She has undergone his/her school studies from standards VIII to XII in education institutions in Kerala OR
(d) Children of All India Service (AIS) Officers (non-keralites) allotted to Kerala Circle are deemed to be Keralites GO (Rt)No.822/H.Edn.

CANDIDATES WHO HAVE APPEARED/ARE APPEARING IN FULL FOR THE FINAL QUALIFYING EXAMINATION CAN ALSO APPLY. THIS PROVISION IS NOT APPLICABLE TO THE CANDIDATES APPEARING FOR COMPARTMENTAL/ IMPROVEMENT EXAMINATIONS.
Tuition Fee : Rs.25,000/- Per Semester
How to Register Online
I. Candidates are instructed to read thoroughly all sections of Key Information published in the website: www.cusat.ac.in / www.cusat.nic.in before filling up
the application.
II. Candidates are required to fill in all details correctly (SC/ST, Communal/Special Reservation, Under OEC etc) failing which the claim under the said categories will not be considered at all.
III. Applications without the required amount of Demand Draft will be rejected.
IV. Incomplete form will not be accepted by the system. Any error in the entries leading to the rejection of the application form shall be the sole responsibility of the candidate. Hence the form must be filled with the utmost attention without making any error.
V. Detailed instruction is given in the Registration module in the website.
VI. If the candidate is satisfied with the entries, press the ‘Submit’ button for completing the registration process. Please wait for the Confirmation page to be displayed and take two print out. Candidate should sent one copy alongwith Demand Draft to The Director, IRAA Unit, Administrative Office, Cochin University of Science and Technology, Kochi - 22 and retain one copy of confirmation page for their reference.
VII. Candidates are advised to note down the Registration Number for downloading the Admit Card. Admit Card can be downloaded by submitting candidate’s Registration Number.
VIII. Request for change of centre will not be entertained under any circumstances.

Last date for receipt of duly completed confirmation page downloaded from the website : 06.08.2009
Date of downloading Admit Card from the website: 10.08.2009
Date of Examination : 16.08.2009 Sunday from 10.30 a.m. to 12.00 p.m.
