This is not so very commonly available fruit has recently been added to the list of heart attack fighters. Though often difficult to source, you should eat avocados whenever possible - add to salads or make that popular Mexican dip, Guacamole. Avocados are abundant in nutrients like potassium, folic acid and Monounsaturated Fatty Acids (MUFAs), all of which lower and risk of heart attacks.

The avocado (Persea americana) is a tree native to Mexico, Central America, and Guam, classified in the flowering plant family Lauraceae.
