Directorate of Medical Education Government of Madaya Pradesh - Applications invited from (NRI) for Admission in MBBS/ BDS courses

Applications are invited from Non-residence Indians (NRI) for admission in MBBS/ BDS courses in Govt. Autonomous Medical/Dental College of the State of Madhya Pradesh.

The following no. of seats are available for admission to MBBS/BDS course in the year 2007 – 08 for Non – residence Indians (NRI)

Gandhi Medical College, Bhopal - 5
M.G.M.Medical College, Indore - 5
G.R.Medical College, Gwalior - 5
N.S.C.B. Medical College, Jabalpur - 5
S.S.Medical College, Rewa - 3
Total -23

College of Dentistry, Indore - 2

Eligibility:

1. The candidate should have passed with minimum 50% of aggregate marks in qualifying examination of 12th Standard (10+2 stream) in Physics, Chemistry & Biology Subject or equivalent examination thereof. The proof/certificate must give particular of the subject and also the percentage of marks obtained/grade awarded in the examination. Grades should indicate equivalent percentage.

2. The candidates who have passed their examination from out side India, will have to produce equivalent certificate from Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi. Candidate should have passed English as a language at 12th Standard exam.

3. Preference will be given to NRI belonging to state of Madhya Pradesh.

4. Candidates should be NRI or Children of NRI/ "wards" of NRI

5. The candidate should complete 17 year of age as on 31st Dec. 2007.

Fees:

a. Tuition fees US$ 12,000 per year or equivalent Indian Rupees.
b. Hostel fee Rs. 10000/- per year or equivalent US$
c. Caution Money US $ 3000 (Refundable after completion of course)
d. Student fund US $ 100
e. Security deposit US $ 10000 (Refundable after completion of course)
f. Other fee as per rule of concerned university/ college.

Candidate has to deposit tuition & other fee at the time of admission and fees is to be paid in one installment every year as per rule in the concerned college.

No change of college will be permitted to NRI candidates after admission.

*"The wards means a minor for whose person or property, or both there is a guardian. (Section 4 (3) Guardians and wards act VIII of 1890). The word "Guardian" means a person having the care of the persons of a minority or of his property, or both his person or property".

Application :

Application can be downloaded from web site - www.mp.nic.in/medicaleducation Candidate has to submit application on the prescribed form along with bank draft of Rs.1000/- in the name of Director, Medical Education, Bhopal payable at Bhopal. Application should reach in the office of the Director of Medical Education, Govt. of M.P., Satpura Bhavan, 6th Floor, Bhopal latest by 07th May 2007. Applications received after the last date will not be considered.

Counselling (Scrutiny & Allotment) :

Scrutiny & allotment of seats through counselling will be done based on merit list prepared on the basis of marks obtained in 10+2 or equivalent examination. If any seats remain vacant after counselling for NRI Seats, such seats will be converted as per the existing reservation criteria and added in to PMT counselling for which the counselling is to be held which will be notified separately. The candidate has to deposit Rs.1000/- as counselling charges at the time of counselling.

2. Dean/ Principal of concern colleges – Member
3. Two representative of local college – Member
