Applications are invited for admission to 5 Year (10 Sem.) B. Arch. Degree Programme offered at University Department of Anna University Chennai, Government Aided Institutions (Self-Supporting Programme) and the seats surrendered by the Self Financing Engineering Colleges for the academic year 2008 - 2009.

Application Forms:

IN PERSON: Application forms can be had in person from 04.07.2008 at the Examination Centre, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 on payment of cash / Demand Draft for Rs.500/- for General category and Rs.250/- for SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu on production of xerox copy of Permanent Community Certificate.

By Post:

Application forms can be obtained by post by sending a Demand Draft for Rs.650/- for General Category and Rs.400/- for SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu and an address label written in capital letters to which the application is to be mailed and also enclose xerox copy of Permanent Community Certificate.

Candidates seeking admission under Special reservation category should enclose separate special reservation application along with main application together with DD for Rs.100/- for each special reservation with relevant documents. The applications under Sports Quota should be submitted along with all documents only in person.

Eligibility:

(i) (a) HSC (Academic)/Equivalent

The Candidates who have passed 10+2 or its equivalent examination with Mathematics as one of the subjects.
(1) OC and BC candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate.
(2) MBC candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate.
(3) For SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu a mere pass is sufficient.

(b) Diploma

10+3 Diploma (any stream) recognized by Central / State Governments.
(1) OC and BC candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
(2) MBC candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
(3) For SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu a mere pass is sufficient in all the semesters.

(c) International Baccalaureate Diploma

A minimum average of 50% in International Baccalaureate Diploma after 10 years of schooling, with Mathematics as compulsory subject.
(1) OC and BC candidates should have secured not less than 50% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
(2) MBC candidates should have secured not less than 45% marks in aggregate in all the semesters put together.
(3) For SC/ST candidates belonging to Tamil Nadu a mere pass is sufficient in all the semesters.

(ii) Aptitude Test

The candidates should have passed (pass mark is 80 out of 200) the National Aptitude Test in Architecture 2008 conducted by the Council of Architecture, New Delhi.

Candidates have to send the filled up application along with the Xerox copies of Mark Sheet(s) and copies of all other relevant certificates, to The Secretary, TNEA 2008, Anna University Chennai, Chennai - 600 025 on or before 11.07.2008 (5.30 p.m.).
