Indian Institute of Technology (IIT ) Madtas invites applications for Humanities and Social Sciences Entrance Examination(HSEE) 2009 for admission to the five year integrated Master of Arts Programme in one among the following three disciplines, namely, Economics, English and Development Studies.
Eligibility
Candidates who have passed 10+2 or equivalent or appearing in 2009, with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate [55% in case of SC/ST and persons with physical disability (PD)]
They must not have been born earlier than 1st October 1984 (for SC/ST/PD categories 1st October 1979)
Reservation of Seats: As per Government of india rules.
Examination Centres: Bangalore,Chennai,Coimbatore, Hyderabad,Kochi, Kolkatta,Mumbai and New Delhi.

Examination Date and Time Sunday-3rd May 2009 / 10.00 - 13.00 hours
Submission of Application through website-online mode From 01.03.2009 To 31.03.2009
Sale of information Brochure & Application Forms From 01.03.2009 To 23.03.2009
Submission of Application through online assisted mode From 01.03.2009 To 27.03.2009
Last date for receipt of completed application with photo and signature. upto 17.00 hours on 04.04.2009
Announcement of result on the HSEE Website 9.00 hours on 15.05.2009
The examination will be held on Sunday, 3rd May 2009 between 10.00 and 13.00 hrs.
The above date of examination will remain unaltered even if this date is declared as a public holiday.
