IGRUA offers following course commencing December, 2009.

Course : Ab-initio to CPL Course
Training : Ground and flying training for issue of CPL with Multi–engine endorsement and Instrument Rating (IR) on Multi-engine Aircraft
Duration : 15 months (may get extended)

Eligibility

Passed 10 + 2 or its equivalent with Physics, Maths & English as main subjects with minimum qualifying marks as below:

General Candidates

i. Passed English in 10+2 level
AND
ii. Minimum Marks in Maths 55%
AND
iii. Minimum Marks in Physics 55%

For General candidates possessing higher qualification with Maths and Phy. as subjects, minimum qualifying marks in Phy. and Maths are 50% in each subject.

SC / ST / OBC Candidates

i. Passed English in 10+2 level
AND
ii. Minimum Marks in Maths 50%
AND
iii. Minimum Marks in Physics 50%

Note:-
i) In case SC/ST and OBC candidates do not qualify even after 5% relaxation in the Entrance Written test, the seats would be de-reserved for General Category.
ii) Total 60 candidates shall be selected for training as per merit list. They shall be inducted in batches every three months starting December, 2009.

Age Limit: Minimum age limit for above course is 17 years at the time of joining the course.

Medical: Selected candidates will have to submit Class-I Medical Fitness Certificate before joining.

Selection: Selection procedure consists of Written Test, Pilot Aptitude Test (WOMBAT), Viva and Interview in the following manner:-

a) Written Test:

At allotted centers on 2nd August, 2009 (Sunday) at 10:30 hrs onwards.

Examination Centres:

(i) Bangalore (ii) Delhi (iii) Kolkatta (iv) Lucknow (v) Mumbai
(Option for two centers is to be made giving first and second choice)

Syllabus for Written Test:

General English, Maths, Physics & Reasoning (10+2 level and objective type only).

Qualifying Marks in Written Test:

60% for General category, 55%for SC/ST and OBC candidates. However the total numbers of shortlisted candidates after written examination will not be more than three times of the total seats in respective category and the same will be selected in order of merit irrespective of the number of candidates who qualify in the written exam.

Written Test Result:

Result of Written Test and schedule of Pilot Aptitude Test/ Interviews will be available at IGRUA website at http://www.igrua.gov.in/ after 12th August 2009.

b) Pilot Aptitude Test (WOMBAT)

To be conducted at Delhi, for candidates from Delhi and neighbouring states from 19th Aug. 2009 onwards.

For other candidates at IGRUA, Raebareli from 7th September, 2009.

Minimum qualifying marks for Pilot Aptitude Test are 70%.

No relaxation in marks will be given for SC/ST/OBC Candidates in Pilot Aptitude Test.

c) Interview/ Viva:

Interview and viva for all successful candidates in Pilot Aptitude Test will be conducted at IGRUA, Raebareli from 8th September, 2009 onwards.

Candidates will be required to produce following documents in original at the time of interview:

(i) Proof of Date of Birth ( such as 10th Class certificate )
(ii) 10+2 Marksheet
(iii) Caste Certificate for SC/ST/OBC Candidates
(iv) Creamy Layer Certificate for OBC Candidates

Admit Cards:

Intimation regarding examination centre will be sent by Courier/ Post directly to the candidates. If not received by 20th July 2009. IGRUA office can be contacted on telephone. Information regarding Roll number and examination center will be available on IGRUA website also by 16 July 2009.

Traveling Allowance to SC/ST:

SC/ST candidates will be reimbursed 2nd Class to and fro rail fare on production of tickets from their registered address to Raebareli to appear for Pilot Aptitude Test / Interview.

Documents to be enclosed alongwith Application Form :

The following documents are required along with the application form:-

a) Self Attested Copy of Caste certificate (for SC/ST/OBC) and creamy layer certificate for OBC candidates.
b) Three self-attested recent passport size photographs.
c) Non-refundable Application fee Rs. 3,500/- by Demand Draft in favour of ‘Indira Gandhi Rashtriya Uran Akademi’ drawn on any nationalized/ scheduled Bank and payable at Delhi.
d) Only SC/ST candidates are exempted for payment of application fee.
