Applications are invited for admission to the following Post-Graduate Degree Programmes for the year 2009-10 (Both General and Payment Category).
At University Campus, Mangalagangothri:
Two year (Four Semester) Post-Graduate Degree Programmes:
1. M.A. in Economics/ English/ History/ Kannada/ Political Science/ Sociology/ Master of Communication & Journalism (MCJ).
2. M.Sc. in Applied Botany/ Applied Zoology/ Biosciences/ Biotechnology/ Chemistry/ Applied Chemistry/ Organic Chemistry/ Computer Science/ Electronics/ Earth Science & Resource Management/ Physics/ Radiation Physics/ Geo-informatics/ Materials Science/ Mathematics/ Statistics/ Yogic Sciences/ Master of Library and Information Science (MLIS)
3.*M.S.W. (Master of Social Work)
4. M.B.A (Tourism Administration)
5. M.Com. (Master of Commerce)/ Master of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Master of Sales and Marketing (MSM)
6. M.P.Ed. (Master of Physical Education)
7. New Course: M.Sc. in Industrial Chemistry
One year (Two Semester) degree programme:
B.P.Ed. (Bachelor of Physical Education)
New Courses: One year degree programme:
1. Certificate course in Women Studies and Development
2. P.G. Diploma in Yogic Sciences.
At P.G. Centre, Cauvery Campus, F.M.K.M.C. College, Madikeri:
Two Year (Four Semester) Post Graduate Degree Programmes:
M.Sc. in Microbiology/ Biochemistry
Application form with prospectus may be obtained from The Registrar, Mangalore University, New Administrative Building, Mangalagangothri-574199 or Principal, University College, Mangalore- 575001 or Principal, F.M.K.M.C. College, Madikeri- 571201 on payment of Rs.300/- (Rs.150/- for SC/ST on production of Caste Certificate) in person or by post on payment of Rs. 350/- (Rs. 200/- for SC/ST) through Challan/ D.D. in favour of the Finance Officer, Mangalore University along with a self-addressed envelope (40 X 17 c.m.) with the name of the course and the subject superscribed on the cover. The candidates who wish to apply for more than one programme (subject) shall submit separate applications.
(*Those who wish to apply for MSW / Biotechnology course at University Department as well as Affiliated Colleges shall submit the application separately)
Selection for the following programmes will be based on entrance test which will be held in the respective departments. Entrance test fee is Rs. 300/- (Rs. 150/- for SC/ST).
