Announcement concerning GCET & G2CET 2010 Information


GCET 2010 on 12th and 13th May 2010, G2CET 2010 on 14th May 2010

A) GCET-2010

a) GCET (Goa Common Entrance Test)2010 for admissions to First Year of Professional Degree courses in Medicine, Dentistry, Engineering, Pharmacy, Architecture and Homeopathy in the State of Goa shall be conducted on 12th and 13th May, 2010 as per the following schedule at 10 centres in Goa:

Subject : Physics
Date : 12/05/10
Time : 10.00 a.m - 12 noon

Subject : Chemistry
Date : 12/05/10
Time : 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m

Subject : Mathematics
Date : 13/05/10
Time : 10.00 a.m. – 12.00 noon

Subject : Biology/Computer Science
Date : 13/05/10
Time : 2.00 p.m. - 4.00 p.m

b) Question paper shall be of objective, multiple-choice type containing 75 questions of 1 mark each, with no negative marking.

c) GCET-2010 shall be based on syllabus prescribed by Goa Board of Secondary and Higher Secondary Education, Porvorim for Std. XIIth examination of March, 2010 in the above subjects.

B) G2CET-2010(Common Entrance Test for Direct 2nd Year)

a) G2CET-2010(for Diploma and B. Sc. Degree holders) for direct admissions to Second Year Degree courses in Engineering and Pharmacy shall be conducted on 14/05/10 at Panaji and Margao centres from 10.00 a.m. – 12.30 p.m. There shall be a single paper comprising of 100 objective, multiple choice type questions, carrying 1 mark each, with no negative marking.

Separate Prospectuses containing complete details of GCET and G2CET, with application forms shall be made available for reference in January, 2010 on the website www.dtegoa.gov. in and print version in March 2010. Specific dates and locations of availability will be duly notified.

Application forms for GCET and G2CET shall be accepted in April, 2010.
