Council of Architecture
The Council of Architecture (COA) has been constituted by the Government of India under the provisions of the Architects Act, 1972, enacted by the Parliament of India, which came into force on 1st September, 1972. The Act provides for registration of Architects, standards of education, recognized qualifications and standards of practice to be complied with by the practicing architects. The Council of Architecture is charged with the responsibility to regulate the education and practice of profession throughout India besides maintaining the register of architects. For this purpose, the Government of India has framed Rules and Council of Architecture has framed Regulations as provided for in the Architects Act, with the approval of Government of India.

Marine Engineering & Research Institute Kolkata (Calcutta) is the oldest Marine Engineering College in India.The Institute was established at the onset of Independence in 1947 to satisfy the growing need of marine engineers in India. Marine Engineering & Research Institute Calcutta was earlier known as Directorate of Marine Engineering Training with its headquarter in Calcutta and a branch at Mumbai, under Ministry of Shipping (Government of India). The Institute has been renamed Marine Engineering and Research Institute since 2nd February, 1994. MERI Offers B.Mar.E degree through her affiliation to Jadavpur University, Kolkata (Calcutta). B.Mar.E is a 4-year residential program spread over 8 semesters.

Institute of Technology - Banaras Hindu University (IT-BHU) is one of the top technological institutes of India, situated in the holy city of Varanasi. The Institute came into existence in 1971 with the merger of three premier engineering institutions namely, Banaras Engineering College (BENCO), College of Mining and Metallurgy (MINMET), and the College of Technology (TECHNO). The first-ever degree courses in Mining, Metallurgy, Ceramics and Pharmaceutics in India were pioneered at BHU. The Institute of Technology BHU offers B.Tech., M.Tech. and Ph.D. programmes.
