Indian Institute of Technology, Bombay (IIT Bombay) - 5th Batch of CEP certificate Programme in Marketing and Human Resource Management

This program has been exclusively designed to meet the emerging needs and includes topics that bridge the existing gap and facilitate easy transition to the required platform for success. Proposed Certificate Programme in Management with specialization in Marketing and Managing People is an endeavor to provide an opportunity to the working professionals to get an in-depth orientation and exposure of management through the faculty of repute.

Issues Addressed through the Programme

This programme seeks to address a set of issues as stated below


  • Address the emerging paradigms in the field of Management.

  • An emphasis on current concepts and applications.

  • A focus on those skills most needed by Marketing and HR people today: Analytical reasoning, effective communication and teamwork.

  • An integration of information management system applications within the curriculum.

  • A blend of topics addressing conventional Marketing and People Management with a focus on the requirements of modern businesses.


Programme Duration

This Certificate programme of CEP, IIT Bombay will be held during August 2008-May 2009, simultaneously, at Mumbai and New Delhi. Classes are proposed to be held on every alternate weekend (Saturdays and Sundays). Total number of program days will be around 37 days over 19 weekends in a year. Classes on Saturdays will be held from 2.00 PM to 8.30 PM and on Sundays from 9.00 AM to 4.30 PM with an hour lunch break.

Programme Fee

Total fees for the programme at New Delhi will be Rupees Ninety One thousand (Rs.91,000/-) only. Total fees for the programme at Mumbai will be Rupees Eighty Two thousand (Rs.82,000/-) only. Each participant is required to pay the total fee by a crossed demand draft drawn in favour of “THE REGISTRAR, IIT BOMBAY (CEP ACCOUNT)” and payable at Mumbai. The payment is to be made on or before August 19, 2008 for Delhi and August 28, 2008 for Mumbai.

Award of Certificate

For successful completion of the programme, all participants will have to appear for a comprehensive examination at the end of the programme. Each participant will be awarded a certificate by CEP, IIT Bombay on successful completion of the programme.

Important Instructions about the certificate programme

  • Medium of instruction will be English.

  • The programme is non-residential

  • The candidates are advised to go through the brochure carefully before applying the registration.

  • The last date for the receipt of the registration for along with total fee is August 19,2008 for Delhi and August 28, 2008 for Mumbai.

  • total fee is to be paid in advance. There is no provision for instalment.

  • The tuition fee once paid by a candidate cannot be transferred to another candidate except in the case of company-sponsored candidates.
