National Law University, Jodhpur (Mandore) is an institute in India which provides Legal Education.It was set up in November 1999 (National Law University Act,1999) under the leadership of Dr. N.L. Mitra. By the statute (National Law University Act,1999), the ex-officio Chancellor of this University is The Chief Justice of Rajasthan High Court. Based in Jodhpur (Judicial capital of Rajasthan), it provides a unique atmosphere for learning and research.The institute offers undergraduate and post-graduate courses in various facades of law.

Admission to Postgraduate Programme:

Eligibility:

Three years bachelor's degree or equivalent in any discipline recognized by UGC/the state/central government university with 55% marks in the aggregate.

Selection Procedure:

Selection of students for admission to all post graduate courses will be on the basis of merit demonstrated in the result of National Entrance Test (NET) conducted by the University.

PG entrance test paper shall comprise of (a) linguistic ability; (b) analytical skills; (c) depth of knowledge in the subject.

ADMISSIONS

The five year integrated course in B.A., LL.B.(Hons.) run by the National Law Institute University, Bhopal provides a golden opportunity to candidates desirous of taking up law as a profession after passing their class 12th. The Institute is designed to be a premier institution in the Country. Out of 80 seats, 40 seats are reserved for candidates from M.P., while the remaining 40 seats are available for All India candidates.

The duration of the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Course shall be five academic years. Each academic year shall be divided into three trimesters. The duration of each Trimester shall ordinarily be of 70 working days

Admission to the B.A.LL.B.(Hons.) first year shall be made on the basis of an All-India Test to be conducted each year in the manner prescribed by the Director.

Standard of Admission Test

The standard will generally be of Class-12 (of 10+2 system) of Madhya Pradesh Board of Secondary Education, Bhopal for Special English. Since, it is a competitive examination, questions will also be asked on Analytical reasoning, Verbal reasoning, Legal Reasoning, Legal Aptitude and General Knowledge.

Details regarding the admission procedure would be given in the prospectus. The prospectus is ordinarily issued at the beginning of each year ad is advertised widely in various national and regional newspapers.

NALSAR University of Law, Hyderabad, an institution of national eminence in the field of legal education and research, is a residential University established in 1998 under the National Academy of Legal Studies and Research University Act (Andhra Pradesh Act 34 of 1998) of the Andhra Pradesh State Legislature. The University provides an opportunity to explore limitless options in legal profession and is setting new standards in legal education. The University has as its primary mission to create a generation of able, competent and humane lawyers who will not only enter the Bar and Bench but will also be equipped to address effectively the imperatives of the new millennium and to engage in community services. The University Grants Commission has recognised NALSAR under sections 2 (f) and 12 (b) of the UGC Act, 1956.

The Objectives of the University inter alia are :

Admission Procedure

Admission to the B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) Degree Program is made purely on the merit as assessed through an Admission Test conducted for the purpose by the Admission Committee, appointed by the Director. The test will carry a maximum of 200 marks. If more than one candidate gets the same rank in the merit list, the order of priority for the selection of the candidate against the available vacancies will be strictly based on the percentage of marks obtained at the qualifying examination. Candidates appearing for the qualifying examination in the year of admission shall also be permitted to take the Admission Test, but their admission to the course shall be subject to fulfilling the conditions stipulated in the Regulations at the time of admission and production of documentary evidence of their eligibility. All admissions shall be completed before 30th June of every year.
