Applications are invited for admission to the 2nd year Diploma level Engineering Courses and Modern Office Practice Diploma through Lateral Entry in the affiliated Polytechnics of the Board.

Eligibility :

All those candidates who have passed ITI at least with one year (who has passed 10th level School Leaving Examination before admission to ITI courses) or 10+2 vocational examination in various branches from any institution of Punjab/Other States and is a resident of Punjab (in terms of Punjab Government Department of Personnel and Administrative Reforms (PP-I Br.)letter No. 1/3/95- 3PP1/9619, dated the 6th June, 1996 and letter No. 1/3/95-PP-II/81, dated the Ist January,1999)/Chandigarh with a minimum 60% of marks at the 10+2 (vocational) stage or at the ITI would be eligible for consideration for lateral entry 2008 in various diploma engineering courses.

In the event of the vacancies lying unfilled, candidates who have passed the ITI at least with one year (who has passed 10th level School Leaving Examination before admission to ITI courses) or 10+2 vocational examination in various branches from any institution in the country, affiliated to any recognized Board shall also be eligible to be considered for admission.

Details regarding eligibility, intake capacity, reservation of seats etc. and the application forms are available in the Information Brochure. This information Brochure will be available at a cost of Rs. 250/- at the Board’s office at Plot No. 1-A, Sector 36-A, Chandigarh between 8th June to 27th June, 2008.

The application forms complete in all respects may be submitted by hand at the counter of the Board at Plot No. 1A, Sector 36 A, Chandigarh on or before
27th June, 2008(3.00 PM) along with processing fee of Rs. 520/- (Rs. 260/- for SC/ST) in the form of bank draft. The completed application forms along with
processing fee in the form of bank draft drawn in the favour of “Secretary, Punjab State Board of Technical Education and Industrial Training” payable at “Chandigarh” can also be sent to the Board by Registered post/ courier superscribing “Lateral Entry-2008” on the envelope.

Since the counselling will be through on line by the NIC and Board, detailed information and dates regarding the online counselling has been outlined in the prospectus. Counselling shall be started from 3rd July, 2008
