Minimum eligibility:

1. Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Science/ Humanities/ Management or equivalent in relevant discipline with 60% marks in aggregate for general category.

2. The candidate must have a valid Gate score or must have been admitted to the M. Tech. programme with a valid Gate score. For admission to Ph.D. Programme in Science/Humanities/Management the candidates must have a NET (UGC/CSIR) Fellowship from the current year in relevant areas.

Selection basis: Written test and interview

For Fulltime Sponsored Scholars:

Minimum eligibility: Master’s degree in Engineering/Technology or Master’s degree in Science/Humanities or equivalent in relevant discipline with 55% marks in aggregate for general category. These candidates must have served with the sponsoring organization for a minimum period of 2 years on a full-time basis. The sponsoring organization needs to provide and undertaking as per Note 5.

For Part-time Scholars:

The National University of Educational Planning and Administration (NUEPA), a premier organization of its kind in South Asia, is engaged in capacity building and research in educational policy, planning and administration. NUEPA, which is fully maintained by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, offers Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D., Full-time Direct Ph. D. and Part-time Ph. D. programmes in educational policy, planning and administration from a broader inter-disciplinary social science perspective. The research programmes of NUEPA cover all levels and types of education from both national and international development perspectives. NUEPA invites applications from eligible candidates for admission to its Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. and Full-timeDirect Ph. D. (34 seats); and Part-time Ph. D. Programmes (5 seats) for the year 2009-10. These will also include those qualifying from the M. Phil. programme of NUEPA. While selecting the candidates for admission, NUEPA will follow all mandatory provisions in the reservation policy of the Government of India.

Admissions to Full-time Integrated M. Phil.- Ph. D., Full-time Direct Ph. D. and Part-time Ph. D. programmes will be made purely on the basis of merit following the prescribed criteria of the University.

Fellowships

Each selected candidate for the Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. and Full-time Direct Ph. D. shall be offered a fellowship of Rs. 13000/- p.m. + contingency as per rules. The NET qualified candidates, who have been awarded Junior Research Fellowships by the UGC and who fulfil the required qualifications, are encouraged to apply.

Eligibility Criteria

Full-time Programmes

(A) (i) A candidate seeking admission to the Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. programme shall have minimum of 55% marks (50% marks for SC/ST candidates ) or its equivalent grade in Master's Degree in education, social sciences and allied disciplines from a recognized university.

(ii) Candidates who are yet to clear their final examination at the Master’s level are also eligible to apply provided they pass the examination as per eligibility conditions already laid down at (i) above and submit its proof at the time of interview.

(B) A candidate seeking admission to Full-time Direct Ph. D. Programme shall have an M. Phil. degree in an area closely related to educational and administration and/or exceptionally brilliant academic record coupled with publications of high quality.

Part-time Programme

A candidate seeking admission to Part-time Ph. D. programme is required to meet the following criteria:

(i) Should possess the educational qualifications as mentioned in Para (A) (i) above;
(ii) Currently, should be in full-time employment;
(iii) Should be a senior level educational functionary/administrator with a minimum of five years work experience in teaching, educational planning and administration.

Mode of Selection

The University reserves the right to decide the number of seats to be filled in the year 2009-10; the criteria for screening of applications; and the selection procedure of candidates for admission to its Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. and Ph. D. programmes. The mode of selection of candidates will be as under:

(i) Initial short-listing of applications will be carried out on the basis of relevance and quality of the brief write-up (in the prescribed format) in the proposed area of research to be submitted along with the application form;
(ii) Short-listed candidates will be invited for second level screening through which the University will assess the general awareness of the candidates about the educational issues and their motivation to pursue research.
(iii) Written test for the short-listed candidate will be scheduled on 30 May, 2009 at NUEPA at 9.00 a.m.
(iv) Face-to-face interview for the qualified candidates will be from June 1-3, 2009.

Candidates may apply in the prescribed form for admission to Full-time Integrated M. Phil. - Ph. D. and Ph. D. programmes of the University along with three copies of the brief write-up (in the prescribed format) on the proposed research topic of a contemporary issue within the broad framework of educational policy, planning and administration. The application form and the Prospectus can be obtained from NUEPA by remitting a sum of Rs. 200/- ( Rs. 100/- for SC/ST candidates) by demand draft in favour of Registrar, NUEPA, payable at New Delhi if required by Post or purchased in person. All India Competitive Examination for grant of ICAR-SRF (PGS) leading to a Ph.D. degree in Agriculture and Allied Science Subjects in the Academic Session 2008-09

Applications are invited from eligible candidates for the grant of ICAR-Senior Research Fellowship (PGS) for pursuing Ph.D. degree in the field of Agriculture and allied Sciences for 2008-09. The award of ICAR-SRF (PGS) is for three years.

The candidates should have Master’s Degree in the concerned discipline, with 55% marks or its equivalent OGPA for General and OBC categories; 50% marks or its equivalent OGPA for SC, ST, and PH categories, from any recognized university in India and abroad. The candidates appearing in the final semester would also be eligible provided they produce the degree completion certificate from the Registrar to this effect by the date of Examination

The candidates must not have attained the age of 30 years for General, 33 years for OBC, 35 years for SC, ST and PH categories and 45 years for in-service candidates (regular employees) of ICAR, SAUs and other organisations dealing with agricultural sector. The crucial date for determining the age limit for all categories will be the date of examination.

The examination consists of 2 papers in objective type having multiple-choice OMR based questions. Paper-I will be in general knowledge including general awareness in Agriculture. Paper-II will be in 13 major subject groups. The details of the major subject group and sub-subjects and other details are given in the Information Bulletin. The examination will be conducted on 25th January 2009 (Sunday).

The Information Bulletins with Application Forms will be available for sale from 20th October, 2008 to 10th November, 2008 and can be obtained in person by depositing demand draft of Rs.700 for General and OBC categories, and Rs.350 for SC, ST and PH categories with additional cash of Rs.25 per Information Bulletin as handling and service charges from the office of the Registrars of State Agricultural Universities, CAU, Imphal, IARI, IVRI, NDRI, CIFE, CARI, Port Blair, Central Bank of India: - Gudimalkapuram, Himayatnagar, and Mushirabad branches at Hyderabad, and the Controller of Examination, NAARM, Hyderabad.

It can also be obtained by post from “the Controller of Examination, NAARM, Rajendranagar, Hyderabad 500 407, Andhra Pradesh”, by sending a written request along with Demand Draft of Rs.750 (Rs.700 towards cost of Bulletin and Rs.50 towards postal and handling charges) for General and OBC categories, and Rs.400 (Rs.350 cost of Bulletin and Rs.50 towards postal and handling charges) for SC, ST and PH categories and a self addressed envelope (30 cm x 25 cm) without postage stamps.

The Bank Draft should be drawn in favour of “ICAR Unit NAARM Account”, payable at Hyderabad. Name and address of the candidate must be written on the backside of the Bank Draft.

The Faculty of Management Studies (FMS), University of Delhi has invited applications from those who have pursued at least a 3-year Bachelor’s Degree Programme after 12 years of formal schooling, for admission to the two year MBA and MBA (Management of Services) Programmes commencing in July, 2009.

The minimum requirement of Marks for the different disciplines are as follows: Arts/Commerce/Social Sciences- 50%, Sciences- 55%, Mathematics/Statistics -60%, Medicine/Engineering/Technology-60%/CGPA of at least 6.00 in a scale of 10.00 or Post Graduate Degree or 2nd Degree Examination after 10+2+3 scheme, securing at least 60% marks. Candidates appearing for the final examination of Bachelor’s/Post Graduate Degree Examinations may also apply. Applicants must be at least 20 years of age as on 1.10.2009.

At SBI branches, applicants have to fill-in a printed Bank payment counter-foil (supplied by FMS) with their Name, Name of the Branch and the required amount. The bank will return two portions of the counter-foil to the candidate along with a packet containing the Information bulletin and the application form. Applicant is required to attach one stamped counterfoil, in original, with the duly filled application form while sending it to FMS.

Applicants can also apply and pay online at www.fms.edu. Details are available at this site. The last date of receipt of filled in applications at FMS is 1.12.2008.

General Information

Upper age limit as on 1st January 2009 is 35 years for DM/M.Ch, PDCC Courses, Ph.D and Nursing Courses and 25 years for Diploma courses, relaxable by 5 years for ex-service personnel with a service of not less than 5 years, SC/ST and sponsored candidates. Two candidates can be admitted as SPONSORED, in addition to the usual number of seats, for each course, if sponsored by Government / Governmental agencies or Universities.

Candidates with more than two failures in the University or equivalent examinations are not eligible for admission. Admission will be based on the previous academic record of the candidates and their performance in the selection tests to be held in the Institute during November 2008.

Those selected, excepting M.P.H scholars, will be paid stipend as fixed by the Institute. In the case of MPH scholars, a tuition fee will be charged for the entire course. All scholars will be provided with accommodation subject to availability of rooms in the hostel.

Prescribed forms for Application and Prospectus can be obtained by a written request accompanied by a Bank Draft for Rs.600/- drawn in favour of SCTIMST, Trivandrum, in case of Doctoral, M.P.H and Ph.D Programmes and a bank draft for Rs.250/ for other programmes. The request should contain the name and address of the candidate, course to which admission is sought and details of the Demand Draft. Application forms are NON - TRANSFERABLE. Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (AIMK) was established in July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi. Business India has ranked AIMK as ‘A’ Category B-School in India in 2007.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with 50% Marks in aggregate in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s Degree by June 2009 may also apply.

Intake: Present batch size is 120 (80% seats for Army wards and 20% seats for General category)

This program provides masters level degree and training to equip students from biological and / or medical related backgrounds with specialist knowledge and the research skills to pursue a career in the field of regenerative medicine. ELIGIBILITY

CITIZENSHIP: Indian Nationals can apply under the General category. Foreign nationals or Non Resident Indians or Indian nationals supported by NRI relatives can apply under the Foreign/NRI category.

QUALIFICATIONS: The candidates must have passed BSc with at least one subject of Biological Sciences or MBBS or BPharm or BVSc or any other professional graduate from a recognized University.

MARKS: Candidates must have obtained not less than 60% at the qualifying examination.
