1.On the basis of Written Test, Group Discussion and Interview
2.Written Test on Sunday, November 23, 2008 between 10.00 a.m. and 12.00 noon at Ahmedabad, Allahabad, Bangalore, Bhubaneshwar , Chandigarh, Chennai, Coimbatore,Delhi, Dehradun, Guwahati, Hyderabad, Indore, Jaipur, Jamshedpur, Kochi, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai, Nagpur and Visakhapatnam.
3.Based on marks for written test, candidates will be called for Group Discussion and Interview to be held during January/February at Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata, Lucknow and Mumbai.

1.On the basis of General Management Aptitude Test (GMAT).
2.GMAT result should not have been declared before January 1, 2007 and should be received by the Institute latest by March 31st, 2009.

Admission MBA Programme (2009-2011)

Applications are invited for admission to MBA Programme (2009-2011)

Army Institute of Management, Kolkata (AIMK) was established in July 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi. Business India has ranked AIMK as ‘A’ Category B-School in India in 2007.

Eligibility: Bachelor’s Degree with 50% Marks in aggregate in any discipline recognized by the Association of Indian Universities. Candidates completing all requirements for obtaining the Bachelor’s Degree by June 2009 may also apply.

Intake: Present batch size is 120 (80% seats for Army wards and 20% seats for General category)

Selection: Applicant shall have to appear in Common Admission Test (CAT) to be conducted by IIMs on November 16, 2008. Candidates short-listed on the basis of CAT score will be called for Group Discussion and Personal Interview at AIM Kolkata for final selection.

(AIMK uses CAT score for shortlisting the candidates for two-year full time Post-graduate Programme in Management. IIMs have no role either in the selection process or in the conduct of the programme.)

Placement: Full placement achieved in last three years. Highest salary offered Rs 6.51 lacs p.a. and average Rs 4.28 lacs p.a. in 2008.

Application: For CAT Bulletin with application form, candidates are requested to consult the advertisement for CAT – 2008 issued by IIMs on 13 July 2008. Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER) invites Applications from Indian nationals for research program scheduled to commence from August 2008 in the following areas of basic sciences: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Biology.

Minimum Eligibility Criteria :

First Class or 60% marks (55% for SC / ST) in M.Sc. in Chemistry / Physics / Biochemistry / Material Science/ Life Sciences /Mathematics / Statistics / Computer Science or M. Stat or equivalent. Students with B. Tech. or equivalent degree in Engineering Physics / Electrical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering /B.Pharma / M.Pharma / MBBS degree may also apply for research programs in Physics and Life Sciences.

Other criteria :

The applicants should have qualified through NET / GATE / JEST or equivalent examination and the selected students with valid score are eligible for fellowship from IISER Pune. Students with valid UGC-CSIR JRF are eligible for fellowship directly from UGC or CSIR. Candidates must attend the interview before selection for doctoral program, the dates of which would be informed to the short-listed candidates. Candidates who have appeared for qualifying degree examination are eligible to apply, and must submit the attested qualifying degree certificates / final transcripts before joining (Deadline: 30th September, 2008). Age: Not more than 28 years as on 1st August 2008 (Born on / after 01.08.1980). Age will be relaxed by 5 years for SC / ST candidates.

National Institute of Technology Calicut (NIT - Calicut) invites applications for its Finishing School for Engineering Graduates in Information Technology and Soft Skills

With a view to meet the immediate trained human resource requirements of the IT & ITES industries, it is proposed to set up a chain of finishing school programmes for engineering graduates. As per the directives of MHRD, Government of India, NITs and IITs will conduct finishing school programmes during May-June 2008 ,as was done by some of them last year. This effort has the twin objectives of (i) offering suitable candidates to the IT industry and (ii) helping young graduates find jobs through appropriate training. Therefore the purpose of this training is to enhance and sharpen the required skills among engineering graduates and make them employable in the IT & ITES industry.. The details of the finishing school proposed to be conducted at NIT Calicut are as follows:

Selection
