Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata, invites applications for admission to Three Years Post Graduate Course of Diploma in Cinema (Full Time) for the sessions 2009-2012 in the following specialisations.

Direction & Screenplay Writing
Cinematography
Editing
Audiography


Eligibility for Admissions

Direction & Screenplay Writing - Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University under the 10+2+3 pattern

Cinematography - Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University under the 10+2+3 pattern

Editing - Graduate in any discipline from a recognised University under the 10+2+3 pattern

Audiography - Graduate in any discipline as above. Desirable: Physics in 10+2 level

Medium of Instruction ENGLISH

Total Numbers of Seats - 40 (10 per discipline)

Reservation as per rules will be observed

The Admission procedure will comprise of a Written Examination to be held at different centres, followed by an Interactive Orientation Test & Panel Interview of selected candidates to be held at SRFTI in September 2009. The Written Examination will be held on 19 July 2009 in the following centres (location details will be communicated later). Centres may be clubbed together for Administrative reasons

Kolkata, New Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Guwahati, Patna, Lucknow, Bhopal, Bhubaneswar, Thiruvanthapuram, Hyderabad, Raipur, Silliguri

HOW TO APPLY

Prospectus with Application Form may be requested in writing or in person, on payment of Rs. 250/- (by crossed Demand Draft or from the Tutorial Section of the Institute in any working day between 11:00 AM – 04:00 PM on payment by cash.). Last date for receiving completed Application Form along with Processing Fee of Rs. 1,250/- by crossed Demand Draft only is 6 June 2009. Last date of despatch for request of prospectus and application form by post from SRFTI is 27 May, 2009.

Alternatively, Application Form may be downloaded and printed from the website www.srfti.gov.in and sent by post duly completed along with the processing fee of Rs.1,500/- in crossed Demand Draft. All Demand Drafts must be drawn in favour of “Satyajit Ray Film & Television Institute, Kolkata” and payable at “Kolkata”
